iconic
Containing the now iconic chaper by AC Bradley 'Aristotle's conception of the state' [recently been reprinted in D Keyt, Fred D Miller (Eds), (1991) A companion to Aristotle?s Politics (Oxford, Basil Blackwell)], and including other fine scholarship, notably WLM Courtney on Epicurus, and RC Jebb on the speeches of Thucydides, one is painfully aware of one's intellectual limitations in presuming to offer a 'review'. Suffice to say, this is a classic volume of immense importance, and Kennikat Press is owed a huge debt pf gratitude for its reprint in 1971, after first apearing in1880.
