The idea for this book is supposedly Robbins, but the book was written after his death in 1997. The author is good, and it is in the style of Harold Robbins. The main character is a rich young man by the name of Win Liberte who has never worked a day in his life, living off of the allowance his father set up through their diamond business. He's the playboy type and drives fast cars. His uncle Bernie took over the business after Win's father died, which was fine with Win. Suddenly Win finds himself broke; his uncle Bernie has committed suicide after losing all the family money on bad investments. Win 's only asset is a diamond mine in war torn Angola that is running in the red. This story is about the diamond business, the Angola civil war, several very dangerous and cruel people bent on making their fortune with diamonds, and about Win trying to regain a fortune he lost. The story moves fast, and will keep your interest.
