During the 1840s and '50s, more than half a million Irish came to the U.S. in search of the basics of human survival: food, shelter, and jobs. They stayed to help build the greatest nation in the world. Hoff captures their story in this new series, begun with Song of the Silent Harp. Now she continues the story of Nora Kavanagh and her son Daniel in New York City.

I had read the first book in this series several months before and i was thrilled to find the rest of the series at alibris. Every book in the series is good. Great details about the plight of the early Irish immigrants to America and their wonderful contribution to our country. I've since passed along the series for my mother to read and she loves them too.
