Ashok and Daksha Patel were born in India. They later migrated to the U.S. to complete their medical education and training. AAshok is a board-certified internist with certifications in hematology and oncology. He is also an assistant professor of internal medicine at Rush Medical Center. ADaksha is a pediatrician with subspecialty training in neonatology. She is also an assistant professor of pediatrics at Northwestern University.
