Size: 8vo-over 7.75"-9.75" tall; 1st Great Ouse Edition hardcover in dark green paper covered boards spine ends and tips sharp and head of page-block is lightly foxed. 313pp glossy text is tight and crisp with a barely there 1/4-inch crease on the upper corners of most of the pages with no writing, highlighting, or soil inside. Not exlib. Original dj has a sticker blocking out the price, has one tiny closed tear on rear panel, displays well in new mylar. The original version of this book was previously published as "The Heath and The Turf" by Arthur Baker in 1971.
