Die rot-gr???ne Bundesregierung hatte es sich zur Aufgabe gemacht, gegen die Arbeitslosigkeit vorzugehen und mit den so genannten "Hartz-Gesetzen" die Reformation des deutschen Arbeitsmarktes angek???ndigt. Zu Beginn dieses Jahres trat der letzte Teil der Reform in Kraft, das "Hartz IV-Gesetz". Schon vor der Einf???hrung zeigten die Menschen in allen Bundesl???ndern ihren Protest gegen das neue Gesetz und dr???ckten so ihre Unzufriedenheit mit den bevorstehenden Ver???nderungen aus. Die Betroffenen f???hlen sich ungerecht behandelt und bef???rchten gro???e Einschnitte in ihrer Zukunft. Warum erscheinen ein Gesetz und seine Folgen, vor Allem in den Augen der Betroffenen, als "ungerecht"? Was genau w???re im Gegenteil "gerecht"? Ist Hartz IV gerecht? Wenn die gegebene Situation als ungerecht empfunden wird, muss man Gerechtigkeit nicht nur messen k???nnen, sondern es muss auch ein akzeptabler Gerechtigkeitsbegriff entwickelt werden. Um den ???beraus vagen und deswegen schwammigen Begriff der Gerechtigkeit definieren und anwenden zu k???nnen, soll die Frage "Ist Hartz IV gerecht?" anhand der Gerechtigkeitstheorie von John Rawls analysiert und beantwortet werden. Rawls entwirft in seinem kontraktualistischen Gerechtigkeitsmodell einer "Theory of Justice" zwei Gerechtigkeitsgrunds???tze, mit denen er einen liberalen und sozialen Rechtsstaat begr???ndet. Seine Gerechtigkeitsauffassungen lassen sich dem Verst???ndnis der Sozialen Gerechtigkeit zurechnen, die wiederum als Form einer ausgleichenden Gerechtigkeit angesehen werden und somit mit Begriffen wie Chancengleichheit und sozialer Gleichheit umschrieben werden kann.
