Best Book for Stepfamilies
This book focuses on the "marriage" in remarriage, but many of the chapters look beyond the couple's relationship to talk about parenting, finances, ex-partners, and more. Filled with real-life stories this book reads quickly and contains a wealth of practical information.
I attended a seminar led by these authors in Lake Forest, California at a large church. I was on guard against "preaching" or "converting" but I needn't have worried. The seminar was completely about relationships and how to create a lasting remarriage. I laughed all morning, bought this book and took it home.
I have now completed my third reading: this book is well-written, extremely helpful, and the best book I've read so far (out of about two dozen) for how to build a stepfamily.
