gives Haiku a bad name
I had to force myself to get through this book trying to find ANY poem that came close to achieving a "haiku" moment (few and far between). I should have Bruce Ross sued for misrepresenting/distorting what Haiku really is, even allowing that this is an American--and not Japanese--take, from 1993, I question whether any of the authors ever even read genuine Haiku poetry? Writing is puerile, random words thrown together with no coherence or relevance. That Charles Tuttle published this drivel, the publisher that helped introduce us to authentic Haiku by the masters, makes me wonder what happened to their vision. Do not buy unless you want to be bored to sleep.
