Must Read
This book Gunman's Territory was written by Elmer LeRoy Baker of Ardmore , Oklahoma and is about the life and times of United States Deputy Marshal James Robert (Bob) Hutchin's who was the youngest deputy marshal to serve in Indian territory for Judge Isaac Charles Parker of Fort Smith, Arkansas. It tells of his meetings with the outlaw bandit queen Belle Starr and all the marshals he served under. Myself I enjoyed the book and found it to be very informative and it has a few illistrations. This book was written with the help of Bob Hutchins, but unfortunately he passed away before it went to press. Mr Baker had planned a second book about Mr Hutchins but it never happened. The book is very hard to find but if you get a chance to read it I don't think you will be disappointed.
