Creepy and wonderful, they're watching us-Malissa Brink / Didn't want it to end-Randy Grub Dominic Moretti was dealing with a lot of issues. Life hadn't been easy since returning home from Afghanistan. His marriage was on the rocks, his sports betting was out of control, and he was hanging out with the wrong cronies in Manhattan's Little Italy-just another war hero who couldn't piece his life back together in the real world. Also, there was that strange, annoying feeling that he was being watched . . .Humankind was indeed being evaluated, by the highly advanced Khantam Lom, an alien species in control of much of the galaxy. Did this selfish, war-mongering, human race warrant protection from the soon-to-be-invading Wikk Empire? An insectile species with insatiable appetites, the Wikk were hell-bent on subjugating Earth as one of their many farming settlements. So the adventure begins. Dominic inadvertently saves the life of a Khantam Lom Observer, and everything changes. Humankind has but one-seeming impossible-shot at avoiding a catastrophic fate. Dominic won't be able to do it alone, but will the ragtag team he's assembled be enough? Will any of them survive long enough to make a difference? Reviews: Good and Fun Book The storyline had plenty of action and adventure. A riveting and fun space opera and some scifi romance. Lots and lots of surprises with twists and turns around every corner. Characters were great and woven well into the action. Mark Wayne McGinnis gives the reader some new ideas to consider as the science fiction adventure unfolded. Enjoy!- Charles C. Grimes Just wonderful! One of the best-written and captivating military romance scifi novels I have read in a long time. Once I opened the cover I could not put The Hidden Ship down until I finished it. No slow spots, this book keeps you going from the beginning to the very last page. Highly recommenced this book! Looking forward to reading other works by Mark Wayne McGinnis. Much thanks sir!- JC3Honolulu Bought it to waste some time and ended up being ensnared by the story. This was really a pretty good read. I bought it just to read while killing time before an appointment. I read right up until the time I had the appointment, then rushed back home to finish it. I'll look for more of the author's work.- Bud Fast-paced fun read! Guardian Ship is a fun entertaining military space opera - just a good old-fashioned adventure scifi book. With the fate of Humanity on the line, these homegrown likable characters join together to take on alien occupiers against all odds. The excellent character development and a very descriptive plot line bring this story to life. I felt like I was in the fight myself! - Eric in AZ An enjoyable read. This is the first novel I've come across by Mark Wayne Mcginnis. I very much enjoyed this one, a wonderful scifi space opera, with a side of sy fi romance thrown in just to make things interesting. The writing itself (voice) is great. The story made sense. The characters were likable. I found myself sneaking time over lunch to read it, something I rarely ever do. I'll look forward to checking out more of Mark's work.- Wally Lafferty Awesome Book!
