Meine Kr???fte w???rden sicher nicht dazu ausreichen, dieses alles zu beschreiben; und au???erdem, was f???r einen Nutzen h???tte der Sch???ler von solch einem Handbuch? Alle diese ausf???hrlichen Beschreibungen'verschiedener Systeme, deren Vorteile und Nachteile, w???rden den wi???begierigen Leser unbedingt blo??? verwirren. Selbstverst???ndlich w???rde er sich fragen, f???r welche von diesen Instrumenten er schreiben sollte; was dabei m???glich und was praktisch sei. Und, entt???uscht w???rde er meine umfang reiche Abhandlung in den Papierkorb werfen. Diese Betrachtungen haben allm???hlich meinen Eifer abgekuhlt: nach einem Jahre haben sie ihn mir ganz genommen, und ich verlie??? meine Arbeit.
