Oblong 4to. 142, [2] pp. Photo frontisp., photo-illustrated title in green & black, with photo illustrations throughout. Green publisher's cloth, gilt lettering & printer's mark on front cover, maps on endpapers, w/ d.j. cover art photo of logger (minor foxing at left margin), still NF/G copy, inscribed by Dave James, and w/ TLS from the author Dated Dec. 18, 1987, from the library of Tom Koenninger (1932-2010), former editor, managing editor, journalist for The Columbian newspaper, and board member on the Vancouver National Historic Trust. Third printing, inscribed, with review, and TLS from the author detailing the Simpson Logging Company operations in the South Olympic Mountains of Washington State from 1946 through its closure in 1986, and Grisdale existed for longer than any other forest camp processing Douglas Fir, Western Hemlock, Western Cedar, Sitka Spruce and Coast Redwoods.
