Maybe you've seen "The Wire." Maybe not. I was reluctant to watch it, but became quite taken with the character of Felicia "Snoop" Pearson-- especially when I found out she IS a real person.
Then I learned that she wrote an autobiography revealing the details of her early life, and how she became a drug dealer, in Baltimore. She did prison time, and eventually got out of the life, but is here to say that those Baltimore corners and the action depicted on them in "The Wire" is for real.
The book is a quick and engaging read, and gives us a lot to think about regarding the lives of youth in the "Inner City" and the complexity of solving the problems.
