The characters debuted, conceptually, in the illustrations of Burgess' publication The Lark, in the late 19th century. Very Good+ in Good+ dust jacket. Red pictorial cloth cover is rubbed at corners and spine caps an has a small 1/2" sticky residue spot otherwise clean, bright, and in very good+ condition. Boards and spine are straight. Binding is tight. Pages are lightly toned with modest thumbing on a couple of pages otherwise clean and in very good condition. Dust jacket is toned with modest soiling and a chip in the front panel and light tattering at corners but in good condition. Publisher's price of $2.00 on DJ flap. The most recent title listed on DJ flap is Goop Directory published in 1913 so this would have been printed between 1913 and 1916 when the next Goop title was first published.
