I loved reading Pratchett's "Discworld" series and I thoroughly enjoyed Gaiman's "Sandman" comics. This book is a good read. The characters are 3 dimensional and humorous as in any Pratchett book and the plot line is told through many different character views. Well done. I was disappointed by the ending however. After taking the literary roller coaster to get there it was a long slow pull into the unloading zone of an ending. Still a fun ride though and the lines aren't long either. :)

A Fantastic Read
I hadn't read anything by Neil Gaiman nor Terry Pratchett, so I went into the book without any preconceived notions about the authors. In return, they amazed me not only with the quality of their writing, but also by the rich, wonderful plot.
The very beginning does begin a bit slow and can be a bit confusing if you don't read closely. When the plot picks up (after the first chapter), it becomes easier to read. The characters were amazingly funny but never in a way that made them seem less real.
The ending was fitting for the story, though I was sad to have to finish it. I adored the book a great deal and recommend it to anyone who is ready for a good laugh.
A quick note: If you become offended when anyone pokes fun at religion, however lightly, you may want to pass this book up. While it doesn't make fun of just religion itself, it does poke fun at the concept of the apocalypse and what constitutes good and evil.
