This translation of the Holy Bible is in easily-understood English. It includes all of the books from both testaments, not deleting any.

easy to read
This translation of the Bible is a fairly accurate work, following closely to the KJV translation, but in "modern" English. It is easy to read for persons not very inclined to read any written word printed on a page.

This won't be universally accepted
Could choose a better version, this on par with KJV. Perhaps the American Standard would be better for study purposes.

The Good News is this Bible
Not until I had lost someone I admired greatly did I sit down to read the good book. And \this was the version I read from cover to cover. Even though the familiar passages that we memorized in the King James version are not as prosaic they do give us a clear picture of what was meant. The American Bible Society has written the Bible into more than 2000 languages in the world. Reading this version made it easier to pick up other versions of the Bible to read which gave me a more rounded education about the Bible. I now have read from the NIV, the Jersualem Bible, the reformed King James version, and many others. I recommend this Bible highly for anyone wanting to read the good book for the first time.
