The Los Angeles-based vocal group the Pentagons are chiefly remembered by doo wop fans for a pair of 1961 hits, "To Be Loved" and "I Wonder," but the Pentagons actually practiced a much more varied palette than that, edging into what might almost be called surf music with the goofy but fun "Down at the Beach," and coming close to straight-out soul with the Motown-like "Your Good Lovin'."
