You don't get much for your dough with this cheesy budget reissue: a black and white publicity photo on the front cover, and no liner notes, publishing or recording information -- all typical of early cheap Collectables packaging. To compound matters, some of the masters are pulled from scratchy records with no audio cleanup applied, actually distorting a bit on some of the selections. But the music and the performances are top-notch doo wop with that decided West Coast edge that outweighs all audio concerns and lack of proper documentation.
