Keith Ward's "God: A Guide for the Perplexed," is a dense reading that covers different historical viewpoints about God and then delves into specifically Christian oriented viewpoints. He is very smart, has a sardonic writing style that will make you snicker, and presents many philosphers and theologians in an accessible manner.
Given that, don't expect to have your questions about God answered. He does have a point-of-view but does not force that onto the reader. It is up to you to find where you and God are in his descriptions of many possible relationships. So, if you want to be un-perplexed, don't hang out with Keith Ward. However, if you want to investigate questions and live in the mystery, this is a wonderful book.
