I saw a rave review of this book in the NY Times but I give it a lukewarm review. The scenes of life in an Indian family were interesting but ultimately, no insight was provided into the characters' motivations and lives. A lot of their behavior was awful and left an uncomfortable feeling that all of them (but 1) were distasteful.
