Interestingly, this various-artists compilation takes the form of a mixed DJ set release, yet there is no DJ named, and the work runs together smoothly and seamlessly. Geosonic Grooves, Vol. 1 seems to be somewhat of a multicultural and almost ethnic work, featuring the work of Transglobal Underground, Delerium, Lisa Gerrard, and Nick Holder. All and all, though, this East Indian-tinged dance record seems to maintain a steady pace with obscure and profoundly danceable tracks. This is a recording that's as interesting as it is unique.
