Very good. 24 cm, 814, illus. Gen. John McAuley Palmer (1870-1955) graduated from the U.S. Military Academy, and served in China during the Boxer Rebellion and later in the Philippines. During WWI he served on Pershing's staff, and was later an aide to Pershing. He retired in 1925 and was recalled to service in WWII.
