Seller's Description:
Small 8vo. Green cloth over bevelled boards, bright pictorial giltstamping in shape of "grip" (traveling salesman's suitcase). 72pp. Frontispiece (tissue guard present), decorative endpapers. Very good. Some funky "flecking" of the cloth, mainly around edges of front board; single 3" archivally closed tear on rear flyleaf. Overall a tight, clean, nice first edition of this unusual anthology of poems by and about the life of the travelling salesman. Contributors include Ella Wheeler Wilcox, John Hay, James Whitcomb Riley and "Captain Jack" Crawford.
