I've liked all King's Mary Russell novels but they just keep getting better and better. Her characterizations, settings, and plots are all excellent, and I particularly enjoy the fact that she has obviously researched the period thoroughly enough not to make stupid, anachronistic mistakes of language, customs, etc. (which is a pet peeve of mine with many other writers who set their novels in other times). If you liked any of her previous books, you'll like this one.
