Seller's Description:
Rare Hardcover First Edition (1979) published by Houghton Mifflin in olive green cloth-covered boards with gold lettering along the spine. The book is in Very Good+ / Near Fine condition without the original jacket. The book has been preserved in what I believe to be an aftermarket plastic dust jacket. The jacket has done its job at protecting the covers at its own expense. There are a few chips and tears, but again this is just an aftermarket jacket. The covers are in great shape with sharp corners. The spine ends are lightly indented due to shelf wear. The binding is square and tight. The interior pages are clean and unmarked. The book will be carefully packaged for shipment for protection from the elements. USPS electronic tracking number issued free of charge. Traces the art of gardens through history as a universal quest for beauty and a product of diverse times and cultures where gardening has become a fine art of infinite beauty and variety. 232 pages.
