The Dust jacket has minimal handling. Art McKee, the pioneering salvage diver of the Florida Keys, led a remarkable life. He achieved renown by successfully salvaging the Capitana from the Spanish 1733 treasure fleet and later established a museum in the Florida Keys, which has drawn thousands of visitors. McKee then embarked on a quest to find the Spanish treasure galleon "Genovesa, " which sank on the Pedro Banks in 1730. Despite years of searching the wrong reefs, he eventually located the galleon and recovered silver coins and bars. Tragically, McKee passed away just eight months later, never able to return to the "Genovesa." The book includes detailed charts pinpointing the exact location of the "Genovesa, " as well as colorful photos taken during the salvage operations. Additionally, numerous black-and-white photos depict McKee's salvage efforts of the 1733 fleet galleons in the Florida Keys, showcasing the treasures recovered. [Adapted from publisher]
