I found the book laborious to read...too much background history and speculation about whether Gall was at a certain place at a certain time, etc. I imagine the author had a difficult time finding material specific to Gall, and so I'll give him kudos for doing the best he could with what he had. Of all the books I've read on Indian culture and individuals, this is my least favorite. But a good try.
