The front cover is detached but still present on volume 2, and almost detached on volume 1. Both covers are also quite scuffed on the corners and backstrip. The binding throughout the rest of the pageblock is firm in both volumes, and all outer edges of both pageblocks are painted yellow. The text in both volumes is in good condition, with no markings, annotations or evidence of foxing. This book has hardback covers.
