I recently had the pleasure of meeting Herman Emmet and see his prints at an opening. The prints were large and good. He's a very interesting character. He mentioned the extensive supporting prose in the book which I had on order. The book arrived the following day.
I found the book to be even more enjoyable than the prints and personal discussion. That was because of Herman's field notes over a ten year period that now represent the prose contained in the book.
If you are a fan of documentary photography and agricultural worker stories, don't miss "Fruit Tramps"
