English summary: It is not without good reason that Schiller has been declared a contemporary of all ages. The ongoing interest in his work is always based on ideological and political interpretation. In this respect, the context of different, sometimes contrary political systems (Liberalism, National Socialism, Socialism) and the promotion of a national identity, especially in Eastern and South Eastern European countries, has played a crucial role in the perception of Schiller. Taking into account the respective nation-specific context, this study, compiled by Schiller experts from thirteen European countries, aims to provide a general European overview of the diverse reception of Schiller over the course of two centuries, in order to clarify its constellations, types, mechanisms and the correlations to his work. German description: Nicht umsonst wurde Schiller zum Zeitgenossen aller Epochen erklart. Dabei geht das bis heute ungebrochene Interesse der Nachwelt an seinem Werk stets von ideologisch und politisch gepragten Interpretationsansatzen aus. So hat der Kontext verschiedener, manchmal kontrarer politischer Systeme (Liberalismus, Nationalsozialismus, Sozialismus) sowie die Forderung des nationalen Selbstbewusstseins, insbesondere in ost- und sudeuropaischen Landern, eine ausschlaggebende Rolle bei der Schiller-Aneignung gespielt. Der vorliegende Band, an dem Schiller-Forscher aus dreizehn europaischen Landern mitgearbeitet haben, mochte unter Berucksichtigung des jeweiligen nationalspezifischen Umfelds einen gesamteuropaischen Uberblick uber die vielgestaltige, sich uber zwei Jahrhunderte erstreckende Schiller-Rezeption bieten, um deren Konstellationen, Erscheinungsformen, Mechanismen und Spannungsverhaltnisse zum Werk zu klaren.
