The Bible of Freestyle Canoeing
Freestyle canoeing is the lovely art of extreme canoe control. It is almost like figure skating in a canoe. It is performed as either a solo or tandem endeavor. To the best of my knowledge, this is the only book on the subject. Never the less, it is extremely well written and is a wonderful source for anyone interested in pursuing this art, whether casually or intensively. Each of the many turning maneuvers is carefully described in detail. While the best way to learn what this book presents is by one on one instruction from someone experienced in the art, any serious canoeist can benefit greatly by studying the very clear instructions. The skill so learned will be very helpful to the canoeist under general travel conditions, be it white water, windy lake or quiet pond.
