I was at elan for thirty months, from august '78 thru February '80 and it was pure hell. What Michael says in the book, about elan, is all true and he was not exaggerating at all. Joe Ricci and Donald Davidson were evil, sick men who got off on other people's pain, suffering, and embarrassment.
