Although I have not yet delved deeply into the book. I had borrowed it from a library and found his book very interesting. I am not a Mathematician, but a Mechanical Engineer, and had the usual courses in calculus and differential equations.
I think that someone should have some background in calculus to read this book. Basically it is a chance to see how a great Mathematician has written on the subject, and get the flavor of how he develops the subject.
This book is a fraction of the much larger book which is still untranslated; however, the publication of the other sections is planned.
