Bio of John Mason Peck
This book is a compilation, mostly of John Mason Peck's own journals. It was put together by Rufus Babcock, who also added a little to it. It is an astonishing appraisal of pioneer life in what was then known as, "the west," or, "the frontier," in the United States as our nation was growing. Peck gives the reader insight as to what life was really like back then. We have very little information from this period and this book is a great reference for anyone wanting to learn about pioneering in early America.
