The emphasis is thus on identifying the underlying motivation that governs behavior in these two important areas of our lives. The discussion further reveals how both sex and money are used by the ego to support its doctrine of separate interests--the principle of one or the other--and therefore how the Holy Spirit can use these very same forms as a means of teaching us that our interests are not separate, and that no one has to suffer or be sacrificed in order that our needs be met.
