The abuse escalated to an even more destructive level including severe beatings with sticks and extension cords, rejection, and extreme, demeaning verbal abuse; abuse that left lasting and harmful effects and caused fear and ingrained psychological scars. Through it all, Valmerice Davis endured and survived. She grew strong and capable while working through the trauma in her life and she believes her experiences have made her who she is today, a beautiful and loving wife, mother, and grandmother.
