As they delve deeper into the matter, they learn that the Buddhist gods are driving out the B???n demons from Tibet, which threatens to push out the old B???n religion altogether. Both sides see themselves as good and the other side as evil, leading to a conflict between the two religions. Ch???gyam and Lhakpa must navigate this conflict while trying to find a solution to the demon infestation. They learn that there are secrets on both sides, and neither religion is entirely good or evil. The B???n priests see the Buddhist gods as demons themselves, while the Buddhists believe they are doing what is right. The conflict between the two religions comes to a head as both sides clash in a battle for control of the city.
