I can't imagine this book being usesful to the general public, but if you love plants, it's a nice little gift with lots of trivia. You'll learn not just about the discovery and development of the particular plant over the centuries, but also the medicinal uses our ancestors had for them and hwo they developed those uses. It was very interesting.
