This classic is actually two books in one volume. The Desmond Leslie portion is one of the earliest studies which relate the (then) new phenomenon of "flying saucers" to reports of strange aerial sightings in past centuries as well as ancient legends of beings from the sky. The part written by George Adamski is his (purportedly true) account of a meeting he had with a man from Venus in the California desert in November, 1952. It is not an actual collaboration between the two authors-- the publisher decided that the manuscripts would go well together. The book is absolutely essential reading for anyone interested in the beginning of the "contactee" era!

Original photo of Adamski scoutship
You can see the original photographs of Adamski-type scoutship only in the book published in the U.S.A. because U.K.books have modified photographs. That was the reason why the British writer Arthur C.Clark thought Adamski photo seemed to be fake.
