This book is a beautiful addition to any library. The beautiful photography will be pored over many times. Our forefathers proved that "necessity is certainly the mother of invention" as they used these plants for many medicinal needs. Pharmacies were not readily available to them, so by trial and error they researched their own "drugs"; and the ones that were deemed best have found their way onto these pages for us to peruse and consider. Silymarin and echinacea purpera are just two of the plants within which are still widely used today. Silymarin for liver ailments and echinacea for colds and respiratory ailments. There are many more in a beautiful pictorial book for the delighted reader. I highly recommend this book for anyone with a love of plants, and an appreciation of beautiful photography; as well as a desire to know more about cures and remedies from nature's bounty.
