A very interesting and pretty form was gathered on Croaghanacleragh (Alt. Mt.) near Ardara. The flowers were creamy white and the plant densely tufted and very floriferous, the pedicels slender and long, and the flower heads from a half to two-thirds normal size. Mr. Bennett believes it to be Var. caspitosa, Reich. Campanula Linn. 322. C. rotundifolia Linn. Hair Bell. Sand banks near the sea and dry places on cliffs and mountain summits. Frequent. Fl. July, August. From 2,219 feet to sea-level. A summit plant as well as a sand hill plant. It is curious that the two widely different habitats affected by this species have not caused divergence into representative forms. Campanula latifolia Linn.
