First edition, signed, of this charming Grabhorn Press piece recounting the polar aerial adventure of Farquhar, noted California historian, mountaineer & Bohemian Club member, and Garfield Merner, founder of the Allied Arts Guild in Menlo Park, CA. The black letter excerpts from Haluyt's 1582 Divers Voyages and Martin Frobisher in 1578 serve as preface and afterword.

Very Good. First Edition. Quarto. Very good in lightly faded printed wrappers edgeworn with some tiny tears, and some faint staining. ALS by Garfield Merner written while flying over the North Pole on August 24th 1949 laid in. The letter is addressed to a Margharita and Odis, to which Merner relates his observations of Santa Claus and his elves as well as the time of day and his general location.
