Techno-Thriller is pretty much a new genre for me with the Fault Lines series being my first foray. I saw the first book described mind-bending, which was totally true, but Flash Point is even more so. Thomas Locke really amps it up, the danger, the drama, everything. Exciting and thrilling are really too tame in describing the pages of Flash Point.
I really have to admit that as much as I really disliked, almost hated, Reese in the first book. But as I read Flash Point I began to see that there was more to her than met the eye and I began to feel some sympathy for, and even faintly like, her.
There is some techno and finance stuff that went over my head but I think those things are actually what will cause this book to appeal to male and female readers alike. There is a lot of non-stop action punctuated with romance, and even some humor, that kept me breathlessly turning pages eager to find out what might happen next.
Thomas Locke has outdone himself yet again with Flash Point and I anxiously await what he might have for us next in this fast-paced and gritty series.
(I received a copy of this book from the publisher in exchange for my review. All opinions are my own.)
