A favorite
This was my favorite book as a kid and I still keep my battered copy on my book shelf. This is a fun and entertaining book. Despite the fact a boy dies and the one brother is to be exicuted for the crime this is not a scary book. It really wasn't the first brother's fault. He can swallow the ocean, but only for a short time. The boy refused to come back and the brother could not keep the ocean in his mouth.
This is a great book on the importance of family. It is up the the brothers to save the first brother from exicution. Their odd talents save the day.
The illustrations are cute and drawn with light humor.
