12mo, 19cm, x, 329, [2]p., ads., septia tone frontis view & title-page vignette, 1 plate (mayflies), in the original fine grained maroon cloth, blind stamped decorated borders on the boards, gilt titles and decoration on the spine, one section slightly jumped but sound, front free fly replaced with contemporary fly that almost matches, very good condition. (Spg) Westwood & Satchell p169. Dr. Albert Gunther, Curator of the Ichthyological Department of the British Museum, contributed the article "The Silurus Glanis" to "Fishing Gossip". Pennell contributed "Dum Capimus Capimur", Bagnall's Bungles", and "The Puff Piscatorial". William J. Ffennell, H.M. Inspector of Fisheries for England, wrote "Early and Late Salmon Rivers and Close Seasons". Other writers include; Edward Murta, W.B. Lord, Thomas Westwood, W. Pinkerton, H.R.
