We as an editorial board, along with a stated commitment from the editorial team at Wolters Kluwer, wanted to reimagine and improve MOS to ensure that it would remain the primary resource that many future generations of surgeons use prior to going to the operating room or in preparing for board examinations. We fully embraced this responsibility to not only carry on what previous editors had generated with its classic presentation and content, but we also committed our team to modernizing and improving this edition"--
