Spanish folk and heavy metal band Mägo de Oz was formed in 1988, although the group's definitive lineup didn't solidify until almost a decade later in 1996. Specializing in heavy metal with folk and Celtic touches, Mägo de Oz often works in album-length concept projects, and this double-disc set, Finisterra, originally released in 2000 as the band's fifth studio album, is perhaps the most ambitious of those. ~ Steve Leggett, Rovi
