Archaeological Find
A refreshing new look at the history of needlework through the eyes of an archaeologist. Mary Beaudry shows how needle implements were in the homes and businesses at various historical sites. Some of the items are subject to interruptation since the uses are not, for the most part, documented in the area of the excavation sites.
Because Ms. Beaudry is not an avid needlework by her own admission, the uses of some implements are skewed by an academic view. It is a most interesting look at the artifacts of neelework prior to the presentation in a museum.
