A pesar de la turbacion de los tiempos, se nota en Espana un desarrollo intelectual que dentro de algunos anos se hara sentir con mucha fuerza; y es preciso guardarnos de que los errores que se han extendido por moda, se arraiguen por principios. Tamana calamidad solo puede precaverse con estudios solidos y bien dirigidos: en nuestra epoca el mal no se contiene con la sola represion; es necesario ahogarle con la abundancia del bien."
