A most interesting account of the author's experience as an American in Soviet Russia from just prior to World War II until the 1970s, when she returned to the United States. She pulls the reader into her story, helping understanding of why she was drawn to the Socialist environment, her living conditions, and the ups and downs of her life with her new country, her husband, and her children. Fascinating insight into what it was like to live in the Soviet Union during these time periods. The book can be a little slow at times, but well worth a read.
